The most beautiful cottage. We lucked its remoteness and character. Internet was fine. So enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it. Will be back!

We very much enjoyed our week here. Beautiful weather every day until the very last day when it rained. Enjoyed walks around Kettlewell, over to West Burton and back, Penn Hill, Little/Great Whernside and others. Cauldron falls at West Burton are better than Aysgarth falls and much less touristy/crowded. The little shop in West Burton is great, sells excellent coffee and came much recommended. Lovely stay! Played in the garden on sunny days. Did lots of walks and got exhausted. Hope we can stay longer! Loved Hindlethwaite Hall.

A fantastic week looking in God’s own country. Expected rain but got the reverse with glorious days in the Dales. One exception which was of course the day we decided to climb Whernside, one of the three peaks of Yorkshire. Visibility 10 feet at the top!
The house was a wonderful base. Really enjoyed our stay.

Wow, what a beautiful cottage in a fantastic setting. And the landscape such a contrast to our flat and boring Lincolnshire fells. Lovely sunny weather first half of week … We will be back.

Lovely to come back here. Given the endless rain and unseasonable weather, the house was comforting. Listening to the wind howling around the chimney, cosy log fires …

Amazing week at this lovely place, the kids (3 & 2 yrs) and the dog love the place, garden and all the animals to see. The location is perfect for various outings (Castle Bolton, Falls, Richmond) and some amazing drives in the dales to Grassington as well as North via Reeth, Crackpot to Askrigg. What a stunning part of the world! And thank you so much for all the care and love that has been put into this cottage for us to enjoy.

House near to perfection. Surroundings ideal. Thank you. What a wonderful week we had! The house was such a treat for us. I loved the Aga and all the views from each window. The surroundings are so beautiful. Wild flowers galore, animals and their babies around every corner. Green and luscious. We went to Bolton Castle, Malham Cove, Kettlewell, Hawes, White Scar Cave and the gallops, all wonderful, thank you.

Have been really comfortable and enjoyed watching antics of barn owls across the way. Have honed our sheep rustling skills. I would recommend the Forbidden Corner for all children between the ages of 8 and 61 years old. Local walks brilliant too.
